Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actress who hails from Manama, Bahrain and was raised in a multi-ethnic family. She hosted the show Lanka Business Report which focused on the business of Sri Lanka. Padukone was the daughter of the badminton star Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and was raised in Bangalore. She was a badminton player at the national championships while a teenager but gave up her sport career to become a model. Padukone hails from Mangalore and her native language is Konkani. Her family ancestors are from the village Padukone within the Kundapura Taluk, in the Udupi district in Karnataka state of India. Prakash Padukone is her father and a former badminton star with international recognition. Her mother is an agent of travel.
